Sat 10 April: 125th birthday

To celebrate its 125th birthday, the Chelsea Hotel is having an exhibition of inhouse photography this weekend. There are portraits from previous residents and guests including Charles James (personal highlight), Patti Smith, Warhol, Grace Jones etc......Each photo is accompanied by a letter of the photographer explaining their history/connection to the hotel with memories noted to extend the atmosphere of the images...........


Sat 10 April: Colour at the MOMA

My luck is in because the exhibition at the MOMA at the moment is "Colour". Yipee!!!! Here is just the floor of the entrance ...........


Sat 10 April: All things shiny at the MET

Three AsFOUR have a piece in the new SuperHero exhibition at the Met museum which was unvieled this week. It is an outstanding show and a fantastic chance to get close and inspect such exquisite garments. It really is the best of the best of incredible creativity in the industry and Im so glad that this is being celebrated. Unfortuneatly photography is not permitted so here is a picture from where I went afterwards................. to get a good blast of sunlight straight into the rettina from the reflections of these Jeff Koons sculptures on the Met's roof garden.



Sat 10 April: Keith Haring Mural

Whilst walking Luna we checked out the new Mural dedicated to Keith Haring on Houston and The Bowery. He first painted this piece in 1982 and it has been recreated in memory of his 50th birthday to celebrate the talent that is missed by the downtown art community.........(and globally) ...........

Dropping off my lookbook at Opening Ceremony I bumped into Brit-now- NYC resident Emma Reeves who took me to the launch of the new Nike Liberty Print Collaboration at the store.

Monday 5th April: Paper Magazine HQ NYC

Angela took me to meet Kim Hastreiter at the new midtown home of Paper Magazine. Here she is in her office which is a treasure trove of colourful paraphernalia and research. The 2 editors famous for their distinctive spectacle frames, are immortalised in these fun portraits on the reception area walls.





Monday 5th April: Milk The Weasel, Pull The Rug, NYC

The catacombs of The Sculpture Center were taken over by the work of "Director of Behaviour" Michael Portnoy. Sculptures and performances which felt a little like a casino from another planet, where the currency is strictly "Squirrel Dollars" and participation was encouraged or you were evacuated under order.
