Saturday 6th October: "Style Feed - The World's Top Fashion Blogs" by William Oliver

Together, William Oliver and Susie Bubble compiled a list of blogs to formulate a publication on the genre with a chapter on each title representing the years from the inception with ASVOF in 2005 to the present day.  I'm ridiculously hyped and honoured to have been included and in addition allocated so many pages of imagery (see above).  However, I'm slightly surprised that I'm in the 2009 section when I began back in 2007 but pedantic ego aside, its bloody exciting to be in a book and secondly one about a topic that is so close to my heart and energies.  To add to that chuffed-ness I have also been asked to dj at the launch in London alongside the Patternity girls so get the 17th in your diaries to come and join us at Urban Outfitters in Shoreditch to celebrate William's first title!  Big day!

Saturday 6th October: SHOWstudio Live Panel Discussions

For the duration of the SS13 fashion weeks, SHOWstudio have been reporting on the shows via a live stream of panel discussions with different guests selected on their relevant specific skills for commentary on the collections.  I was asked in to offer input on two occasions - firstly one of the opening acts at Victoria Beckham in New York and later Commes Des Garcons on the closing of the season in Paris.  Both designers and brands are on disparate ends of the spectrum in the business of fashion but both equally fascinating especially in the company of co-hosts including Camilla Mortan, Colin McDowell and Trino Verkade.  SHOWstudio's own in-house critic Lou Stoppard did a sterling performance of hosting every single session throughout the weeks and wrote a lovely summary of the project over on their blog, where you can read the full list of contributors.  The live footage has recorded for on demand playback if you missed any of the coverage when first broadcast.  I can particularly recommend the Dior day when Camilla Mortan accounts a complete history of the label from her superior knowledge having worked within the walls of the couture house alongside Galliano.  Head over to the site to scroll thru the coverage and compiled Instagram photos and Tweets from the cyber world.

Weds 3rd Oct: "Framed! Contemporary Eyewear in Fashion"

It has been very difficult deciding on an edit from all the photographs I snapped at this spectacular spectacles showcase at The London College Of Fashion.  Its an incredible exhibition of frames on a chronological time line (by Emily Alston) covering the specific accessory from its infancy in crossing over from medicinal cure to fashion item, with exquisite examples spanning the decades.  My personal favourites are the oversize space-age styles from the sixties and seventies but equally the extensive accumulation of contemporary designer collaborations are so covetable its lucky they are locked behind glass!   These include: Alexander McQueen, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Chanel, Christian Dior, Pierre Cardin, Marc Philippe Coudeyre, AndrĂ© Courrèges, Emmanuelle Khanh, Erdem, Giles, Givenchy, Iris Apfel for Eyebobs, Katharine Hamnett, Lenny Leleu, Prada, Prabal Gurung, Pucci, Klaas Rommelaere, Satisfashion, Jeremy Scott, Six Lee, Tatty Devine, Thomas Tait, En-ya Vandenhende,Versace and Bernard Wilhem.......... see if you can spot which is which!  The very top pair are Chloe McCormick and NODH’s Tapestry Spectacles produced by 3D printing techniques!  WANT!
