"Last weekend myself and my long-time collaborator Josh Quinton travelled to Paris for A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival at the Pompidou Centre. Now in its 5th year, ASVOFF brings together emerging talent, established figures and legendary names to celebrate innovative fashion, film style and beauty . Curated by the enigmatic icon Diane Pernet, Josh and I were thrilled to find out that our films Terrormisu! and The Green Carnation were both selected for screening. The festival also included fashion films from some of our London contemporaries including Fred Butler, Gabriel Gettman and Rowena True, alongside a host of international talent. To celebrate we brought along Kim Denman (stylist for The Green Carnation) and Molly Oshea (star of Terrormisu). This year the jury was headed by eccentric "carnal-artist" and personal heroine of mine, Orlan. Highlights of the opening ceremony included a performance art piece by Rosy De Palma, in which Rosy transformed her body into a living rosegarden."

Heres our favourite picks from the festival:

Beauty School Drop Out - High-camp from Charlie Le Mindu and Zoe Hitchen

Danny, directed by Goran Grahovac featuring Kenji Minogue
EMERGING TALENT PRIZE: Awarded by NowFashion

Headpieces for Peace by Jessica Mitrani in collaboration with designers threeASFOUR
GRAND PRIX ASVOFF 5: Awarded by MK2 .............. watch here

Mon 19th Nov: TheInstaPaper – #edit1

A couple of snaps from Daniel Sannwald's pages in a new publication that launched on Friday, named "TheInstaPaper" which features contributors such as Gary Card, Ben Toms, KT Auleta and Yasmina Dexter.

Monday 19th Nov: Agi & Sam in Hong Kong with London Showrooms

Here are snaps from Agi's (of Agi & Sam) time in Hong Kong with the BFC London Showrooms which came as their second recent stint travelling with the initiative, having just returned from L.A!  All the action has been caught on Agi's Instagram from the palm trees of Melrose Avenue to the local cuisine dining in Hong Kong with fellow designers Matthew Miller and William Richard Green. Here is an in-house model sporting their menswear but the duo have also launched a line for ladies which you can now investigate and purchase at Harvey Nichols. Not just an investment for its singular covetable style, but potentially a keeper for the archive as the boys were listed in the Time Out Top 100 Creatives last week and nominated for a BFC Award to be announced at the upcoming gala. It goes without saying they get my vote as my favourite menswear designers but nestling in a scene and category of sterling talent, its going to be a tough call for the judges I'm sure! Follow the award news @BFC and follow Agi & Sam @agiandsam in the run up to their show at London Collections in January.
