Friday 30th October: Sunset hue hair by FUDGE

The start to this Autumn has so far, thank God, has been really mild with exceptionally ridiculously sunrise and sunsets.  These hues Ive been snapping have inspired my latest new colour from Tracy Hayes at Fudge mixing some of the new Paintbox dyes.

Weds 28th October: Ashish, Fashion In Motion at The V&A Museum - backstage details

Ashish is the latest designer to have a retrospective as part of the V&A Museum's "Fashion In Motion" series of free fashion shows.  Its been a decade of the designer's sequin collections coming down the catwalks at London Fashion Week, so a fitting time to dig thru the archives of his workshop in India.  The sparkly looks started with silver screen Hollywood sirens in floor-length gowns, gradually shifting to two-piece sportswear separates and even neon hi-vis vests.   All set against the glinting gold gilt Raphael Gallery, the metallics shimmered and reflected the spotlights with model and muse Larry B's snake hips sashaying the way.

See the current exhibition "The Fabric Of India" at the museum now.

Monday 26th October: Jamie XX "Good Times / In Colour" Pop Up Shop

Everything about the campaign for this album has been a kaleidoscopic dream for me since first hearing it at the listening party, thru to receiving the coloured vinyl double gatefold.  I've photographed the spectrum stained window at Phonica, the painted shutter at Rough Trade West for Carnival and now visited the Shoreditch pop-up shop.  After last week's show at Brixton Academy, Young Turks took the tour's merch and a whole stack more of spectrum goodies to open a "Good Times" theme store.  All the original records that were sampled on the debut were put together to not only listen to but also buy................ spinning on the rainbow slip-mat turntable.  By day you could shop the shelves of t-shirts, caps, bags, stationary and by night attend parties streamed live on NTS with a revolving roster of friends inc. Sampha, Lil Silva, Benji B, One-man etc.  If you weren't able to make it down to the shop, head over to the site to scoop up the multicolour wonders such as this special edition Risograph print.
