Here are images sent to me by The Selby who currently has his first solo show in Seoul, Korea at Daelim Museum until October. Within the four floors of galleries is a photography exhibition from his book "Fashionable Selby" which includes a wall of images from my piece in the story! I'm so chuffed to be included in the showcase and pleased to be situated alongside fellow colour lover Andrew Logan. It's an absolutely brilliant book documenting international artists within their creative spaces and makes perfect sense to now be on view at a new city such as Seoul! If only I could see it in person but luckily we have these shots as a glimpse at the display and exterior of the museum covered in his illustrations. The range of sculptures, dioramas and installations look awesome so visit if you can!

Tuesday 23rd May: Urban Village Fete 2017
This year I travelled to the Urban Village Fete by bike with Wayne Hemingway via an organised ride for the event with bike charity Sustruns. I won a ballot place to meet the event organiser (Hemingway Design) at St.Pauls Cathedral and cycle across East London to the Greenwich Peninsula by taking the Emirates Airline cable car. I have never been on this novel mode of transport before so it was a great experience to rise above the river in this futuristic lift, whilst still in the company of my bike!
Just like last year the day was beautifully hot and sunny from start to finish with Gilles Peterson wrapping up the free festival with a 3 hour DJ set. I absolutely love London events when they are organised to bring communities together to invite and unite a completely all-inclusive audience. These moments need to happen more often and that's why I've been looking forward to it so much since last year. Even the skyline has been considered at the Peninsula by commissioning artist Morag Myerscough to paint the cranes a spectrum palette of multicolour-block paint.
Sign up to receive news on next year's event to get it in the diary already!
(thanks to Magda for the backstage photo of Gilles)

Monday 22nd May: Bold Tendencies / Franks Cafe Peckham
It's that time of year again! "Bold Tendencies" sculpture park on the roof of the multi-story car park in Peckham has opened its doors for this years' programme of exhibitions, concerts and events. Here is the new major work by Ewa Axelrad which was framed by a double rainbow when we arrived for the first night opening on Friday. No visit would be complete without a stop at Franks Cafe for a scenic supper overlooking London's skyline from the Southern perspective. The padron peppers are delish! (And the staircase has been left pink from 2016's comission by Whybray.)
