Saturday 25th April: Marathon Musical Pop Quiz

Its the big day tomorrow!  London Marathon! 26.2 miles on 26th!  I have also just found out that it was my 1st birthday on the 1st ever one, (29/03/1981) which means I will always be as old as it - this year 35 celebrating the 35th anniversary.  So hopefully all this fate will give me luck on my 1st one!

I have had amazing luck in managing to reach my target goal of £3000+ for OXFAM  and The Music Circle 's protection projects for women and children in Eastern DRC.  This was my aim and it's all come together so I will be able to run tomorrow, chuffed to bits that its been a success just for that purpose.

I was helped not only with generous sponsorship from friends but also the proceeds of a pop quiz, kindly given space to hold at Shoreditch House.  Oxfam ambassador Gemma Cairney hosted by reading out my cryptic clues late into the night before her daily 3a.m wake up call to present Radio 1's pre-breakfast show!! Teams came out in support from my football girls to my core class and studio mates of past and present.  It was a lush night to get everyone I love in one room and have a giggle over the picture round of "10 No.1's under 10".  Thanks to Zezi Ifore for providing the soundtrack on the 1's and 2's and thanks to Bon Bon Balloons for donating cosmic multi-colour confetti balloons as decoration.

Massive thanks to mention all the following people who donated gifts as prizes for the quiz and raffle:

RedBull RBMA UK Tour tickets, BigDada / NinjaTune goodie bag, Werkhaus / Actress  music & merch, VooDoo Rays meal and drinks for two, Stretch Yoga  10 session pass, Brownswood Records goodie bag, Fudge Paintbox Colours spectrum of hair dye, Loveage Ace Hotel  weeks worth of juices, Darkroom London  Sottsass cushion, COOPS earrings, Oxfam ambassador  Rankin signed monographs.

Thankyou EVERYONE who has helped me on this mission, especially Verity Keefe for constant support and advice.
