Weds 6th January 2016: "SOUND SYSTEM CULTURE: LONDON" at The Tabernacle















"SOUND SYSTEM CULTURE: LONDON" opened yesterday at The Tabernacle in Ladbroke Grove.   The exhibition documents London’s history of reggae sound systems through photography, archive film footage and memorabilia.  There are posters, flyers and member's cards from Newton Dunbar's Four Aces club in Dalston thru to new speaker boxes custom-built for the project.  Visitors can interact with this Heritage HiFi and veteran pioneers such as Lloyd Coxsone & DJ's David Rodigan and Don Letts were out in force at last night's opening to represent their one love.

The show and sound installation is on till 17 January, with free admission to all.  There is alot to read and learn so I recommend taking your time!
