Monday 5th December: A Peninsula Christmas

It's not often you get the chance (if ever) to sit round an open-fire in London.  The only other time of the year I find myself infront of dancing flames is at Glastonbury Festival in Strummerville.  But now the festive season has brought a bonfire to a tepee in town!  Greenwich Peninsula is celebrating Christmas with a tepee snug bar - indeed a very comfortable and cosy way to spend a winter night.  For the opening evening a brass band walked amongst the nest of tents as a taster of the entertainment to come.  Check out the site for complete listings of acts such as Natty Bo's Calypso Christmas carols, Sea Shanty Christmas Choir and The Roundhouse Young Poets.
