Weds 12th Sept: Morning Marauders on NTS Live

Yesterday I got to visit one of my favourite radio stations - NTS.  Mashmello invited me in to join her morning show to discuss my upcoming collaboration with TWOINCHPUNCH as part of my presence at fashion week from the support of Red Bull Catwalk Studios.  I took in some records to play for her "something old, new, borrowed and blue" feature which included a rainbow 7" I acquired from my mum which must have influenced me somewhere along the lines!  I also took "Pin Ups" from my Bowie collection to demonstrate the pairing of fashion and music in history via this iconic cover of David and Twiggy.
If you don't already have NTS radio on your radar then head over to their site for a listen and scroll and thru the history of podcasts from London's finest dj's and music makers.

Mon Sept 10th: "In It To Win It" by Andy MacGregor at The Book Club

To coincide with the Olympic Games in London this summer,  Andy MacGregor lent his super power sport of paper sculpture to the exhibition "In It To Win It" at The Book Club.  Giant cardboard swimmers fill the ceiling with a gigantic shuttle cock, darts board and different sports theme slogans in 3D hand crafted mobiles and wall hangings fill the Shoreditch space.  Head to the cafe to unwind from the events and soak up a last burst of athlete inspired vibes before the come down and fallout of the closing ceremony of the Paralympics.  Andy has also scalpel-ed his way thru some paper-cut collages which are framed and ready for purchase as a memento of the historic event.
Head over to Andy's newly re-furbished slideshow holding page on his website whilst it is under refurbishment to check out his incredibly deft and indefeatable set design skills.  Meanwhile, keep up to date with future projects on his Tumblr and Twitter.

Sunday 9th Sept: SHOWstudio Live Panel Discussion

For the first season, SHOWstudio are streaming live commentary on fashion week shows as they appear on NOW FASHION with a different panel of speakers each day.  Today I visited the HQ in London to share thoughts on Victoria Beckham's show as it happened in New York where I joined Camilla Morton, Colin McDowell and SHOWstudio's own Lou Stoppard.  It was great fun chewing the fashion fat with industry heavy weights and something I can't say Ive every done ever before!  SHOWstudio are always light years ahead in dreaming up pioneering schemes to refresh notions of standard online coverage so it was very exciting to be invited and involved.  Check their live feed every day to find out who is in the hot seat and which collection will be under scrutiny via thier Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and of course incredible indepth site
Watch back the footage of the Victoria Beckham discussion here.

Sunday 9th Sept: Chloe Batchelor's "Back To The Future" at Print Club London

For a few years now I have been going to the annual "Blisters" Print show at Print Club London where 40 artists sell a run of 40 hand-pulled prints for £40 a pop.  The opening night is always a scrum and que round the block for collectors to stock up on the new year's theme of the exhibition.  Films in "The Directors Cut" was the title this time round with all manner movies in the mix.  I fell in love with this "Back To The Future" multicolour graphic illustration by Chloe Batchelor and had to get it for my increasing Print Club adorned walls.  Here it is in my hall hung up next to one of my first acquisitions from the studio - an Egyptian goddess by Rosy Nicholas.
See what prints might still be left for sale over and the online shop and check out the rest of Chloe's portfolio here.
