Saturday 6th October : London Design Festival - Yinka Llori
Out of the four works that Yinka Ilori exhibited for London Design Festival I only managed to get to two! In addition to installations at The Africa Centre and The Restoration Station, here are snaps from his "Estate Playground" sculpture park at Citizen M Hotel and the Design Salon setting for his symposium at the Now Gallery. I wish I had more time to have seen them all but there will be another chance to experience his up-cycled cosmic vision at the 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair this weekend at Somerset House.
Saturday 6th October : London Design Festival - Camille Walala

Friday 6th October: LFW SS18 - Ops & Ops
Thanks so much to Ops & Ops for gifting these magic silver 60s-inspired day-to-night shoes for me to wear at Fashion Week so I could go straight from the shows to the parties. Perfect! And with a lightly cushioned sole these slip-ons couldn't be more comfortable. It's very rare that I step out of sneakers so I'm really chuffed to now own a proper stylish pair of flats. I paired them with my silver foil trousers for the ultimate platinum effect!!
Find Ops&Ops handmade shoes at a new pop-up at 99 Essex Road, London N1 2SJ
Friday 6th October: LFW SS18 - MM6 Maison Margiela
For SS18 MM6 Maison Margiela took over an empty premises on Floral Street and white-washed the entire thing......... even the bollards outside on the street! Guests to the event could enter and view the collection in an installation or live photoshoot whilst the public could watch models on rotation in the windows. I love how the lettering of the print is carried across the jacket onto the bare skin of the chest.
See last season's presentation here.
