Weds 23rd October: OPEN HEART SURGERY group show at The Moving Museum

Forget Frieze, save your pennies and your mind / soul.  Go to this show and be blown away with a fresh breeze of earnest passion and practise.  The Moving Museum has taken over a vast derelict building on the Strand and filled it with a group show of contemporary artists who have used the space to mark their own stamp.  Its like a magical mystery tour navigating your way between the bricks and mortar to find pockets of installations, film projections and paintings.  Its great fun - there's even a hot tub that was apparently in use for the private view!!  This is what I love about discovering art - it's a whole experience in itself in addition to the individual artists.  My favourite was Samara Scott who had carved up an existing carpet with beautiful mark making in big brush strokes to make this face on the floor and washed the windows with accompanying multi-colour murals.
