Thanks again to Rosy for sending over more images from her cultural viewings in NYC - this time "Keith Haring: 1978–1982" at Brooklyn Museum. I always really liked Keith's work but it wasn't until Rosy lent me a documentary of his life that I acquired a whole new appreciation for his altruistic approach and and fell totally in love with his legacy. So it's brilliant that there is a show in his associated town for Rosy's first visit to The Big Apple:
"here are images of my day at the Brooklyn museum, it was a glorious New York Saturday and it was especially nice to see his work whilst in New York, so close to the streets he painted on and everything that influenced him."
(Images top to bottom: Brooklyn Museum, various ink drawings, new york penis drawings, couple of nice quotes, Keith's alphabet, shot from the video where he paints himself into a corner, and few more ink drawings, long mural with detail, haring and basquiat, self portrait Polaroids, white chalk on black paper are originals taken from the new york subway drawings he did)
