Tues May 15th: Alistair Guy - "Across The Pond"

Leading on from Rosy's guest posts from her trip in NYC, to a photography exhibition in London "Across The Pond" focusing on creatives who travel between the two capitals.  Alistair Guy has curated his own personal project of portraits, by visiting a selection of his friends at their shifting habitats and place of work.  David Bowie's stylist James King is an English man in New York and and Tank Magazine's Caroline Issa is an American in London Town.............. near where the exhibition is currently on show round the corner at Exposure Gallery.  The collection of characters are all affiliated to the international fashion industry and demonstrate diverse angles of vocations, from fine jeweller Duffy to blogger The Clothes Whisperer. Alistair has got to know a great resource of talent on a personal level from his time shooting at shows, and you can tell its been a fun mission for him to bring the aspect of these relationships to the narrative of his own solo show.  Occasionally Alistair is the subject of being in the spotlight too, as ambassador for Casio G-Shock and Hunter wellington boots - who were a key support in the setting up of the show.  From top to bottom: Knitwear Designer Craig Lawrence in his Somerset House studio, Style.com‘s fashion director Nicole Phelps, Milliner Victoria Grant, Myself, Jeweller Duffy, Marc Hare aka Mr Hare,   Kristin Knox, NYLON picture editor Stephen Walker)
