Friday 19th Sept: Imperial War Museum & Patternity Present "The Fleet Of Dazzle" at London Design Festival

Here is one half of Patternity , Anna Murray at last night's party for The London Design Festival at the V&A Museum where she and Grace were celebrating a very successful and jam-packed season of projects.  One of their lines launching this week is "The Fleet Of Dazzle" specially designed for The Imperial War Museum by using shapes from the camouflage of First World War ships.  The monochrome optical pattern has been applied across many products which stretch from stationary to fashion to wall prints................. even a mini pouch for your travel card.  Its all lush and like anything these ladies touch - its just part of the Patternity lifestyle!
You can preview the collection at Design Junction this weekend - see here for more details.

Thursday 18th Sept: London Fashion Week SS15 - Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha's SS15 show was held in St Andrews Church with a live organ arrangement to set off the scallop and fluffy feather fringed hems and lace flower tailor edge tulle.  Absolutely stunning - congratulations Simone!!! A real joy to see a wardrobe devised for women thru a female perspective, resulting in a covetable casual femininity with quirky directional detail. Nothing else quite like it and thats why it's flying................

Thursday 18th September: The Aram Gallery's "Future Stars?" - The London Design Festival

As part of my sleuthing around the city discovering the pockets of presentations in The London Design Festival I visited The Aram Gallery not far from Somerset House.  Perfect location near Fashion Week for these selected designers in the gallery's "Future Stars?" showcase.  The work exhibited was absolutely gorgeous with pieces that I would LOVE to have decorating my home, hands and feet!  A really fantastic collection of graphic shapes by different designers but with a cohesive style that sat together perfectly as one story for "Future Stars?" - no question mark needed......
Top to bottom:  Kim Thome's "Layer Screens" , Lola Lely's " Ply Leather Side Tables, Cat Potter's "Freja" shoes,  Maria Jeglinska's "Drawn Objects" & "The Little Black", Sophie Thomas "Planet" jewellery.
