Weds Sept 26th: LFW SS13 - Louise Gray

Earlier in the Summer when Louise, James and I travelled to Germany to visit the Vauxhall design HQ we were leaving behind our respective collections to focus on outfitting the cars.  Over the next couple of months we put together the pieces of our shows and it was so exciting to sit down and see the epic combination of accessories and makeup in Louise's presentation.  Stephen Jones had created perspex speech-bubble headbands, Tatty Devine added perspex circular knuckle-dusters and giant disc earrings that caught the show lights like headlight reflectors.  James O'Riley mimicked Louise's signature felt-tip squiggles with a kohl frame  Basquait crown shape topping off the eyebrows and Sam McKnight completed the coiffured look with back-comb beehives.  The one-level seating plan meant that the audience could see the shoes for once which was so lucky for this collection as Louise had continued the hazard patterns from her frocks all the way down her hosiery to the dogtooth brogues and wedges.  Its been a banging season for Louise teaming up with Barbie, launching a line for TopShop in addition to the ADAM journey ............ only the beginning of a blinding career for one of London's colour crusaders!  Bring it on and be inspired to throw on some clashing textures and start drawing on your sunnies! 

Weds 26th Sept: LFW SS13 - Pam Hogg

The portrait of Diane and I in the previous post was taken just after Pam Hogg at fashion week where we bumped into each other at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout venue.  Here is the actual collection which I snapped from a great vantage point being at the end of the runway ........ which is always a great spectacle as much as the show with FROW including the likes of Nick Cave and Pam's family of London artist and designer friends.  Her trademark metallic lurex body-con all-in-ones took an even more space theme direction this season with little sailor caps and giant covered platform heels.  I absolutely loved the super cute sequin and tulle puff pom pom looks!  All modelled to perfection by original Pam Hogg girl and now Chanel campaign star Alice Dellal.  Girl Power!

Weds 26th Sept: Vauxhall Adam Exhibited At London Fashion Week

The Vauxhall ADAM car that I added my colourful treatment to alongside models by both Louise Gray and James Small launched at London Fashion Week.  Here I am at the installation of the display on the sidewalk in Covent Garden and later in the week at the film screening with Yu Masui and my mentor Diane Pernet.  See my previous posts on the project to watch Tom Giddings films of the creative process and finished vehicles......... here.  See Diane's documentation of the events including the portrait of us above = here.
