No words needed for this post - the pictures speak for themselves - GLORIOUS! This is an incredible lengthy retrospective of Sonia Delauney's work "Les Couleurs de l'abstraction" which is on its way to the Tate Modern between 15 April & 9 August 2015 so the UK won't miss out!

Weds 12th Nov: PARIS = The Foundation Louis Vuitton
I swore in the previous post describing exhibitions in Paris as bloody brilliant ........ well I'm going to have to go further with this one and say it is FUCKING AMAZING! That is the Foundation Louis Vuitton. You could easily rock up and bathe in the beauty of the building for free without paying the entrance fee to see the gallery cocooned inside this sic-fi Frank Gehry architectural feat. It's as if it has flown in from another planet and planted itself in the glorious gardens of the Jardin d'Acclimatation. I was absolutely blown away and then doubly smacked with excitement when I discovered that a few of my favourite artists were the commissioned practitioners in the current curated collection within. Here are photos of the Olafur Eliasson's "Inside The Horizon" which takes over the basement space, flooding it with yellow light and a succession of mirrored pillars that act as a kaleidoscope when you walk along the gangway that intersects the water of the Grotto. I also loved the Cerith Wyn Evans "A-F-L-O-A-T" sound sculpture of 20 glass flutes hung in the shape of an eclipse, playing notes composed in response to the gallery's architecture. I'm going to have to re-visit this place as soon as I can because the day of my visit the auditorium was closed which features a rainbow chromatic stage curtain by Ellsworth Kelly!!!!!! Could this get any better!!! GAH!!
Weds 12th Nov: "Inside" at Palais De Tokyo
Exhibitions in Paris are bloody brilliant and more often than not, bloody massive and extensive (see Niki De Saint Phalle from last month). Here are a few snaps from the latest show at Palais De Tokyo called "Inside" with works by: MIKHAIL KARKIS & URIEL ORLOW, SOOKOON ANG, BERDAGUER & PEJUS
Weds 12th Nov: PARIS
Various sightings around the city as I crossed town going to different galleries inc. Musee Du Quai Branly, Espace Dali, Centre Pompidou................
Wednesday 12th Nov: PARIS: Travelling Lady, Jessica Mitrani et Rossy de Palma
Last week I returned to Paris to visit my NYC BFF's threeAsFOUR and see the show that they have been collaborating on costumes for "Travelling Lady". Jessica Mitrani's performance / film features Rossy de Palma (previously Pedro Almodóvar's muse) and akin to the name of the title it has also travelled from its premiere in New York and undergone a French translation. The two native Spanish speakers came together thru Diane Pernet's Fashion Film Festival and started working on a short film "Divan" which laid the foundation for this blossoming partnership. In this new piece Jessica has cast Rosy in a narrative depicting Nellie Bly who was an investigative journalist that became famous in 1889 for travelling around the world in less than 80 days. Bly had a dress and coat made out of sturdy material to last her the whole mission which was reinterpreted by threeAsSOUR in a few formats including a beautiful bellowing silhouette with oval vent pockets in their trademark tear shape seaming. The white and black costumes acted as a part of the optical illusion against the patterned projection which Mitrani animated as a surreal backdrop to set the story of this ground breaking voyage. The production will continue it's journey so keep any eye on Mitrani's schedule to catch this new theatre in the new year.

Tuesday 11th November: Red Bull Culture Clash 2014
I have been busy travelling around over the last couple of weeks so I'm behind on publishing here so I'm going to do a quick catch up with bundles of posts. In chronological order, here is the first catch-up on my colourful antics. Since our rainbow themed Carnival in August, Red Bull just had their multicolour Culture Clash with London double-decker buses and shop shutters spray painted with the spectrum. I had my colour-wheel hair refreshed by Fudge for the event and was very happy to find all the rainbow merchandise once I was down at Earls Court, complete with cosmic cocktail cups. I was joined by Margot Bowman and NTS's Marshmellos for a night of swaying with the massive crowds from one corner to the next following each sound system's turn on the tools. The competition comprised of ASAP Mob, Boy Better Know, Rebel Sound (Chase & Status w/ Rodigan & Shy FX) and Stone Love. The resounding winner from the applause-meter was Rebel Sound due to their undeniable killer dubplates which were hilarious and clearly must have taken months of planning and pulling together. It was potentially a controversial outcome as BBK had been groomed to collect the prize by RedBull having sent them to Jamaica to learn about the heritage and record their own dublets............ but on the night it was indisputable who was most worthy of this year's championship.
So much fun in one night and so London to have a stadium of scantily clad, skanking teenagers in the middle of Winter, openly smoking spliffs amid the mist of evaporating sweat and dry ice!!!!! For the first time I finally felt my real age ............... I think?!

Thursday 30 Oct: The Nike Women’s Color Block Collection
NikeLab just launched the latest Nike Women's Color Block Collection and invited the extended network of FAM girls down for the launch at the 1948 store. It's the perfect dream optical pattern for me from a mix of polkadots and Memphis style squiggles with 3M reflective print across this monochrome palette. Each of the "Mezzo" print t-shirts are limited edition as each tee is cut differently from the fabric roll and overprinted with the dot pattern. Check out the full capsule collection with Nike Tech Fleece over at the store.
DJ's playing on the night included Radio1XTRA's Clara Amfo and guest Radi Dadi who are both running the Paris Half Marathon in March next year so check back in the New Year for news on that.............
