"Fridges Fight Back: a Chilling Exhibition" curated by the British Museum of Food (Bompas & Parr ) examines the sinister side of fridges from the bacteria inside to the fires caused by faulty mechanics. The show in partnership with the British Fire Brigade is now on at KK Outlet with an accompanying booklet,"Fridges Fight Back: The White Goods are Restless". Here are a few shots from the private view which had a bar of Yakult and Yazoo, hosted by Sam Bompas in Moschino trousers and chip print shirt! Monday 3rd Aug: Bompas & Parr "Alcoholic Architecture"
Here I am in my "Cyber Monk" or "Steam Monk" look simultaneously sipping a cocktail whilst inhaling another as its pumped into the bar like dry-ice on set of Top Of The Pops. I was cracking up at the time due to the soundtrack of The Human League's lyrics "You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar
When I met you". Genius.

Friday 29th May: Air Fresheners Of The Apocalypse
Re-think the Magic Tree! Beach Gallery have teamed up with Bompas & Parr for an exhibition of scented Air Fresheners illustrated by 10 talents including Jim Stoten, Rob Flowers and Marcus Oakley whose spectrum I snapped here. Last evening's private view also had a lucky-dip grunge-tank for the complete Apocalyptic experience. Dig Deep!
